When you use the 'NEW TOPIC' button at the top of the main page, make sure you select the correct category where your post should go from the Drop Down Menu. Otherwise ALL New Topics end up in the TAXONOMY Section.
I caught these two down the backyard on the same bush as the Signal Flies and others (4/12/22) photos 1&2 .
Spotted this on the Hazelnut Bush and thought it was a bit different but didn't see the eyes as it is very small , was I pleasantly surprised when I got it on the microscope (7/12/22) photos 3&4 .
Just a common old Green Bottle Fly but terrific colors all the same (7/12/22) photos 5,6&7 .
Another Brown Bottle Blowfly , similar to the one in Diptera 6 but this one was quite a bit smaller ( maybe 2/3 the size) and a fair bit different in the colors (7/12/22) photos 8-12 .
Caught these two on the Hazelnut Bush as well (7/12/22) photo 13 .
Sorry the photos aren't the clearest , this is a very small Fly off the Hazelnut Bush and i had difficulty focusing (8/12/22) photos 14&15 .

A "not so blue" Blue Bottle (11/12/22) photos 27&28 .
These next two Flies are very similar (maybe male and female) at first glance but the outstanding difference is the head shape front on . At first look i thought they were Fungas Flies but when i put them under the microscope i realized they weren't (12/12/22) photos 29 - 33 .
Just when i think i can't find anything new on the Hazelnut Bush , another one pops up (16/12/22) photos 34 - 37 .
Finally got back out into the Wombat State Forest after the wet start to Spring and Summer and was immediately rewarded with this awesome March Fly (18/12/22) photos 38 - 45 .
A small Long Legged Green Fly from the Wombat State Forest (18/12/22) photos 46 & 47 .
Another cool looking Fly compliments of the Wombat State Forest from the weekend (18/12/22) photos 48 & 49 .
A nice little Fungas Fly with cool colored legs .... you guessed it , the Wombat .....again (18/12/22) photo 50 .
