When you use the 'NEW TOPIC' button at the top of the main page, make sure you select the correct category where your post should go from the Drop Down Menu. Otherwise ALL New Topics end up in the TAXONOMY Section.
These are very small Diptera specimens ( less than 4mm ) that neither Bert nor I have been able to identify , both of these were collected at my home in Sunbury. Any thoughts would be welcome.
This first one appears to be a midge or something similar (2/12/22) photos 1 - 8
The second one is clearly a fly but the enlarged front legs that look capable of grabbing are a mystery photos 9 & 10
Another specimen from the Hazelnut Bush (7/12/22) photos 11 & 12 .
Caught this in the Wombat State Forest , got no idea what kind of Fly this is , check out the spines on the back legs (18/12/22) photos 13 - 17 .
