The person would provide technical backstopping, advice and guidance to the Terrestrial Directorate of the National Center for Wildlife - with a specific focus on invertebrate species. The person would have energy and enthusiasm and ability to work well under pressure in a challenging work environment. S/he will have specific knowledge and experience in the following areas: a) carrying out surveys (for presence/absence, abundance, distribution), b) a broad range of invertebrate taxonomy perhaps with a focus on one or more relevant groups, c) the development of species (or any relevant classification level) conservation status and action plans - with demonstrated experience in their implementation. S/he has a PhD with at least 12 years of relevant experience."
