Photo 1 - Good news Harriet fans , today (27/9/23) she laid her 3rd Egg Sac , nearly 11 months after her last one . She was determined not to lay it at the Expo but everyone who saw her knew it wasn't far away .
Photo 2 - Well , it's Day 44 and Harriet is still guarding that Egg Sac , true to previous form she is refusing food and is simply best left alone ...... she must be contemplating String Theory or some other equally important subject because she appears lost in thought as she hangs there ...... you'll be the first to know when anything changes .
(12/11/23) :- Hang on to your hats folks , i gave Harriet a large Blowfly yesterday and after a few hours she decided to eat it .... that's her first meal in over 50 days ..... she must have read my previous post and decided to make me look bad .
Photo 3 - (25/11/23) : - Well folks , after 59 days Harriet has become a Mum again , 10 or so babies have appeared so far , I'm expecting some more in the next 24 hrs or so , stay tuned .
Photo 4 - (29/11/23) :- Well it's Day 4 and Harriet is still hanging on to that egg sac , i can only see about 13 or 14 young ones which is a lot less than the 150 or more she had last time . She was full grown when i got her so i feel she may not have too many more sacs in her , we are going to try and rear some of her babies out of this lot . (29/11/23)
Photo 5 - (2/12/23) :- Harriet and the babies are going well , if you zoom in on her top two back legs you will see the hole she made so her babies could exit the egg sac , definitely looks like only a dozen this time .

Photo14 - (3/3/24) :- I maybe being a little premature here folks but Harriet appears lost in thought these days , she may be pondering the mysteries of the Universe but i think she may be lining up to lay another egg sac , she is sitting right where she usually lays them , time will tell .
