Exciting News - Last night (22/10/22) Harriet laid a second Egg Sac , she is at present hanging on to it and not in the mood for visitors , please just send flowers - photo 2 .
Well it happened overnight ..... Harriet's babies hatched , the first photo is a bit dark as it was taken at 5.00 am . They were still pretty much on the egg sac then but this afternoon at 3.30 pm they were starting to venture further afield .... under the watchful eyes of mum of course , i would pat her on the head and say well done but she doesn't look in the mood for congratulations (21/12/22)
Her first egg sac took 100 days to hatch over Autumn / Winter , this one being a Spring / Summer egg sac , it only took 60 days - photos 3 - 5 (Day 1)
Day 2 - Just took a pic of Harriet and the kids , bit blurry sorry , the light was being difficult ..... as you can see she is keeping those babies close (22/12/22) photo 6 .
Day 5 and she is still keeping those babies close , she did take time out yesterday to eat a Blowfly (25/12/22) photo 7 .
Day 9 - Mum has finally let the kids start to roam , they are starting to move around the enclosure but she's still staying close (29/22/22) photo 8 .
Day 11 - The kids are running wild , still under the watchful eyes of mum in the background but they'd also taken to sitting on the under side of the lid making it impossible to get small prey to them .... time to fly the coop .... i roughly estimated there to be between 70 and 90...(31/12/22) photos 9 & 10 .

I had to let another bunch of babies go 5 days after the first lot , at a guess i reckon she had up to 150 or more in total . Here's a shot of her enjoying a mealworm and a bit of peace and quiet (16/1/23) photo 12.
Been eating alot of Beetles and Flies lately so i gave her a Mealworm for something different (6/2/23) photo 13 .
Been out in the Wombat a bit lately , always bring a few March Flies back for the Spiders . Here's a couple of shots of Harriet enjoying a couple of them - photos 14 & 15 .
